We had nearly 1,000 participants blazing our course and enjoying the post-race party, and more than 100 volunteers helping out!

Our top male finisher was Jed Christiansen, winning the race for the fifth time, with a time of 15:01. The first female finisher, who broke the course record she set in 2014, was Aubrey Moskal with a time of 16:25.

5K Run/Walk 2015 Overall Winners

The second male finisher was Nick Edinger at 15:38 and Kevin Shirk, Stephenson, VA with a time of 15:53. The second female, with a time of 18:10, was Lisa Lucas, Pittsburgh, PA and the third was Lauren Finikiotis, Gibsonia, PA at 18:23.

TEAMS were composed of at least five members with the top three runners’ totals going toward the team total. The top three teams were:

1. Christopher Hunt 17:18, Chelsea Hunt 21:04, Ryan Hunt 21:18 – Kane, PA
2. Rick Mihm 20:48, Kara Mihm 21:05, Matt Mihm 21:53 – Wexford, PA
3. Ashley Kollme 19:03, Doug Kollme 23:02, Harry Kollme 23:47 – Washington, DC

Ninety-six more medals were given to the top three winners in the 16 age categories in the men’s and women’s divisions. Plus Master and Grandmaster divisions.

Top-Rated Course in Pittsburgh’s North Hills

On August 1, 2015 the most exciting place to be was the 24th Annual St. Barnabas 5K Run/Walk. Kawneer was the Signature Sponsor.

Each year, fitness enthusiasts trek up and down Meridian Road and raise money for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, an effort that enables nursing and living assistance patients to receive more than $6 million in charity care each year.

Entry Fee

  • $24 before Race Day
  • $26 Race Day Aug. 1
  • Fees are not refundable.

Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.


Competitive and amateur runners, joggers, walkers, teams of 3-5, strollers and wheelchair racing participants of all ages. No inline skates or pets. No smoking.
