About St. Barnabas Health System

St. Barnabas has helped aging adults in need with caring, healing, and teaching services through a Christian lens for more than 120 years. We have grown to provide a wide variety of services in the greater Pittsburgh area, including three independent living options, five living assistance communities, a skilled nursing center, a medical center, home care, hospice care, and more. Our mission can be explained simply- to offer luxurious living at an affordable price with the high-quality care necessary to help residents stay healthy and active.

We embrace our mission in everything we do, from every living community we operate to every healthcare service we provide. Read about our full mission and feel free to reach out to our Media Relations department for more information about our history.

Senior-Focused Services, Charitable Events, and More

At St. Barnabas, we understand that having an ongoing open dialogue with the local media is important to reach people in need that may benefit from our services and assistance. Our Media Relations department’s goal is to spread information to Greater Pittsburgh communities about our senior-focused services, such as retirement living opportunities, living assistance options, memory care services for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients, and more.

St. Barnabas also uses our strong relationship with local media to keep our community informed on our upcoming annual events, volunteer opportunities, and new fundraising initiatives. We’ve expanded our scope over the years and we now run additional businesses that raise money for the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which allows us to provide care for residents that otherwise could not afford it.

We invite everyone to join us in our work providing Christian care and healing, whether through donations, volunteering at an event, or visiting one of our fundraising establishments, and we spread that message through our Media Relations department.
