"Honor Those Who Serve"

Wishful Wednesday Productions is proud to present “Honor Those Who Serve” on Saturday Nov. 4th / 7:00PM at The Kean Theater- The Washington Place. Veteran’s Day is just around the corner. The Gettings Leadership Center will share with you inspirational stories about simple men who gave so much in service to our country. Men who received the Medal of Honor and those families who are Silver Star Families. The evening will be filled with music and stories that will touch your heart. One Person Can Make a Difference.

Cost: $10. Tickets are available here.

You will be introduced to the story of Cpl. Albert P. Gettings:
“Our son, Cpl. Albert P. Gettings, proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was killed in action in 2006 in Iraq. The outpouring of support from our community helped us through those very difficult times. In addition, we received letters, phone calls and visits from those who served with our son telling us how he had been a friend and leader, both on the battlefield and in his daily life.

This inspired us to establish the Gettings Leadership Center to create an organization to promote the American values which were instilled in us by our parents, and which we in turn passed on to our son. Our great nation owes a debt to those who defend our freedom and protect our way of life.

The Gettings Leadership Center is meant to be a working partnership between community, education and the military. This partnership helps build the leaders of tomorrow and inspires us as a nation to strive for excellence while honoring those who serve. Our vision is to establish Gettings Leadership Centers in communities throughout the country to promote the values that made our country great and to develop leaders to take us through the difficult times ahead.”

Then you will be introduced to the stories of Medal of Honor Receptients Hershel “Woody” Williams and Clarence Sadder.
Finally, you will be challenged to ask if you can make a difference – somewhere, somehow “ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE”

Following the show, there will be a VIP Reception where all are welcome to meet the family of Cpl. Albert P. Gettings – recipient of the Silver Star Medal. The Gettings Leadership Center will share their vision with you – one on one – to establish Gettings Leadership Centers throughout the country to promote the values needed to develop leaders to take us into the future of our great country.
