St. Barnabas Charities

Since our founding in 1900 by Brother Gouverneur P. Hance, charitable contributions have been a critical cornerstone in our mission of providing comprehensive, compassionate care regardless of ability to pay.

Our residents, patients, and their family members often want to give something back in gratitude for the outstanding care currently being offered, or for quality care and personal attention received in the past. St. Barnabas Charities – the fundraising arm of St. Barnabas Health System and a 501 (c) 3 organization – offers a variety of convenient giving options.

St. Barnabas Free Care Fund

The St. Barnabas Free Care Fund provides more than $6 million to needy patients at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas who can not afford their care.

St. Barnabas raises money for its Free Care Fund through fundraising events and establishments such as:

  • Trenz Automotive Concepts
  • Special People Fund: Learn More

    This employee-exclusive giving program is your means to contribute toward free care and renovations for the patients of St. Barnabas. Each year St. Barnabas employees dedicate a portion of their earnings to support this fund — special people helping special people.
